Marvel is adding a Wakanda series to it’s impressive Disney+ slate.
Disney has announced a five-year deal with “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler. Coogler’s company will create series exclusively for Disney+.
Notice it says “ for Disney+” not just “Marvel.” This could mean Star Wars too.
The Wakanda series will take place in the Afrofuturistic land from “Black Panther,” the $1.3 billion worldwide hit that is the only comic book movie to be nominated for a best picture Oscar.
Ryan Coogler is scheduled to begin shooting “Black Panther 2” this Summer.
